Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Position ID: 63535130 Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15). RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Required Skills & Certifications Minimum 2 years total experience with at least 1 year direct MedSurg experience Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts (no first‑time travelers) IV Start and Telemetry Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias Med/Surg neuro experience Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required) Preferred Skills & Certifications ACLS certification Job Details Ratios: 1:6 Unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks Shifts: 12‑hour nights 36‑hour or 48‑hour units accepted RTO includes weekends; time added to end of contract to make up those dates Float Requirement: floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units Frequent floating may be required Patient Diagnoses: primarily Stroke patients; also Neurosurgery patients, epilepsy, traumatic and non‑traumatic subdural hematomas, SAH, ICH, brain tumors Special Procedures / Unit Details: 4‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) with training for EMU procedures Unit systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBARS Scheduling: Preferred scheduling; if a traveler calls out of a shift, expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract Orientation: 36 hours Vaccination: Flu vaccine required; COVID‑19 vaccine not required Compliance & RTO Policy Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty Block scheduling is not always guaranteed RTO: Up to 7 days auto‑approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre‑approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing NC or Compact license pending is OK for submission Additional Notes Float: candidates must be open to floating within/near facility per job description Travel pairs allowed, must be on different units and disclosed All RTO must be pre‑approved and cannot be requested after signing #J-18808-Ljbffr
