Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with a 36 or 48 hours option. Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, managing patients of all age ranges and a variety of complex diagnoses. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage on incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Provide support for advanced procedures and emergency situations.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Current Maryland or Compact RN License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
