Network Engineer

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Network Engineer (contract). In this role, you will lead the design, administration, and security of enterprise network infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This individual will play a key role in ensuring network performance, reliability, scalability, and security while supporting a growing, highly regulated organization. This role is onsite in Austin, Tx. Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.Manage routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN, wireless networks, and cloud networking components.Develop and maintain network segmentation strategies to support security and compliance requirements.Administer firewall policies, network access controls, and perimeter security solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.Monitor network health, reliability, and capacity to support business growth.Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and change records.Partner with IT, security, and engineering teams on infrastructure planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
