Automotive Senior Technician

Position Summary Senior Technician requires technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while providing leadership and mentoring to drive a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Pay Range: $20.60 - $30.85 per hour. Technicians are compensated through a flat‑rate pay model based on predetermined rates for eligible tasks. Bridgestone is committed to fair and lawful compensation practices. All employees receive pay that meets or exceeds the applicable minimum wage requirements. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems to specifications. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals in a clear manner. Staff continual learning through paid formal training to stay current on rapidly changing automotive technology. Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities. Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment. Company pays test and registration fees; bonus awarded for each test passed. Minimum Qualifications Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive company vehicles. Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignment. Skill in general automotive maintenance and tire repair. Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where applicable. Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences. Reading, writing, and math skills. Preferred Qualifications Three years of automotive repair experience or vocational‑technical schooling with third‑party assessment or certification. A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 acceptable). Employment Eligibility If hired, a Form I‑9 Employment Eligibility Verification must be completed at the start of employment.
