About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its fundraising and capital strategy, with a focus on supporting drug development in the clinical stage. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and communicating the company's investment thesis, financial model, and equity story, as well as building and managing relationships with a range of investors. Key duties include leading investor presentations, due diligence, financing negotiations, and transaction execution, as well as overseeing financial planning, budgeting, cash management, and financial governance. The CFO will also partner with the CEO and Board on corporate strategy, M&A, strategic partnerships, and capital allocation, and will be instrumental in preparing the company for future institutional financing, strategic transactions, and a potential IPO. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience, with a strong background in healthcare or life sciences investment banking. A proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive within biotech, pharma, CRO, or healthcare is essential, as is a strong network across various types of investors. The role requires an individual with an excellent understanding of biotech valuation, capital markets, and clinical-stage business models, and the ability to work closely with founders, CEOs, Boards, and investors. International experience, particularly across North America and Asia, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a strong executive presence and be adept at leading or supporting successful fundraising and investor relations.
