Associate, New Verticals - Fulfillment Strategy & Operations
DoorDash USA
Associate, New Verticals - Fulfillment Strategy & Operations About the Team New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant deliveries (e.g., Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail). Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team has three major mandates to effectively onboard merchants, fulfill every order with speed & accuracy and improve our logistics network. We are able to do this by identifying efficiencies, building product toolings and launching operational processes at scale. You will own metrics, pull operational & product levers and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses. About the Role We are looking to build out our team with an Associate who will focus on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Fulfillment pod. You will lead the scoping, go-to-market, and iteration of cutting‑edge product features to help DoorDash improve order quality across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. You will work on improving Dasher tooling & technology to make them more efficient in store. Your work will be highly visible and impactful, and involve partnering with the Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in the Fulfillment, Logistics & Catalog group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Analyze: You love working with data and using data to drive business decision‑making. You love talking to customers, unpacking their feedback, and coming up with improvement opportunities. Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key metrics. You will create quarterly and annual plans that push our business forward and are aligned with our product capabilities. You will help these teams identify opportunities for enhancing our existing product offering and methods to improve delivery quality. Lead: You will help lead cross‑functional work streams of Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers to develop best‑in‑class product features that will enhance the quality of New Vertical deliveries. Own: You love owning problems end‑to‑end. You display ownership for the products and business lines that you are responsible for. You never shy away from raising your hand to solve ambiguous problems and are able to motivate and empower your teammates to go above and beyond. We’re excited about you because… You’re analytical. You have a data‑driven mindset, live and breathe numbers, and use them to understand problems and tell stories. You’re very comfortable using Excel and visualizing data (SQL experience is a bonus!). You have 1‑3+ years of experience. Ideally in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food & beverage, high‑growth startups, etc. You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking. You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long‑term and inspiring a team. You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree. Compensation Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location. DoorDash cares about you and your overall well‑being.
