Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Home Care Sales Representative to grow our client base through community outreach, referral development, and strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Conduct in-person visits, presentations, and networking activities in the community to generate new client referrals.
• Educate referral sources and families about our home care services
• Generate new client leads and convert them into active cases
• Track sales activity and maintain accurate records in CRM
• Collaborate with internal care coordination team to ensure smooth client onboarding
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience in home care, home health, hospice, or senior care
• Proven track record of generating referrals and converting referral relationships into client placements
• Experience calling on hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, rehab facilities, and/or physician offices
• Comfortable and confident asking for business and managing a high-volume field schedule
• Active Home Care Aide License.
• Active CPR/ First-Aid Certification.
• Current Tuberculosis test (TB/TST/PPD tests, if applicable).
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Valid state required proof of auto insurance (only required if driving a client).

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

• Minimum of one year of caregiver documented experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. 
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. 
• Empathy for the needs of the client. 
• Treat clients, families, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect; presents a positive public image. 
• Works as a team member. 
• Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information. 
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory
• Existing relationships in the local healthcare community
• Experience as a Community Liaison, Account Executive, or Healthcare Sales Rep
• Knowledge of the senior care industry

Travel: 

• Travel to client homes/sites within local or regional territory, and/or as needed for various staff and client care services. 
• As directed based on the needs of the business and attending job required training and conferences. 
• Must have reliable transportation. 

Job Limitations  

The role will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the State’s Nurse Practice Act. Specifically, the role will not administer medications, take physician’s orders, or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge, and skill of a licensed nurse.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodation). Visual and hearing acuity required. 
• Personal Protective Equipment: May include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering. 

Work Environment  

• Client’s Setting: Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client’s living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (“OPIM”) such as body fluids/tissues. 
• Office Environment: high-paced office environment; continuous phone use/ringing; talking; various noise levels; interactions with employees and clients; sitting and standing for long periods of time; using a computer for extended periods: typing, staring at a bright monitor or TV screen; using fingers, wrists, and arms; stress on back may occur; possible exposure to prescription drugs, bodily fluids, small appliances for cooking, cooling, and heating foods or securely storing medications.
