Job Details Employment Type: Full Time UK & Ireland Overview Job Description Construction professional with experience in the management and the particularisation of construction claims. Key Accountabilities Proven claims experience: a proven track record of working in the dispute resolution field. A minimum 10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Delay Analyst from either a client or contractor background. Experience of providing commercial support in a client facing environment. Substantial experience in working on building projects. Excellent working knowledge of various standard forms of contracts, including NEC and JCT. Skilled in the management of procurement strategy and contract administration. A solid understanding of contract and law within the construction industry, with a particular focus on matters relating to the assessment and calculation of damages. Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances. The ability to work on multiple commissions as well as to organise and oversee others involved in those commissions. A robust knowledge of construction techniques. Ability to forensically investigate project delays. The preparation of prospective and retrospective analyses of delays across a wide variety of construction and engineering projects. This will include the assimilation of technical information along with evidence of delays and the presentation of information in both programmes and reports. The preparation of written reports for use in dispute resolution processes, including mediation, adjudication and litigation; prepared as either advocate or independent expert. Preparation or defence of extension of time claims on behalf of employers, main contractors and sub-contractors. Working independently or with client teams to carry out ‘live’ planning assistance. Excellent team working skills along with the ability to work autonomously as well as the management of other members of the team. Strong written and oral presentation skills.
