Essential Functions: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.

• Transports clients to appointments, visitations, treatment centers, and foster care facilities.
• Set up visitation schedules.
• Supervises parental visits with children and monitors telephone calls.
• Conducts parenting classes.
• Gives testimony in court regarding observation of clients and families.
• Assists with file management, computer file entries, and case narratives; ensures that all data is accurate and up-to-date in the WYOSAFE system.
• Provides in-home checks and services.
• Monitors urinalysis, school grades, and attendance.
• Fully documents all contact with clients and children.
• Confers with the Social Services Worker regarding client progress and case plans.

Preferences/Agency Requirements: Agency requires that the successful applicant possess a valid driver's license.

Knowledge: Knowledge of parenting. Knowledge of policies regarding child protection and benefits. Knowledge of the community or institution to be served.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma. Experience: 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs) OR Education & Experience Substitution: 1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Social Services Programs). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.

Physical Working Conditions: This position takes place in an average work environment.

Notes: FLSA: Non-Exempt. All positions within the Department of Family Services will require a background information check, including taking fingerprints, which will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
