Job Description and Duties

This position is eligible to telework up to one (1) day a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. This is subject to change based on operational need and/or future return to office orders. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor I of the Plan Review and Field Oversight Support Unit (PRFOS), the Office Technician General (OT-T) serves as the Electronic Plan Review (EPR) Technician for the Oakland Regional Office. The position is responsible for various clerical duties which includes but not limited to creating and maintaining electronic files and templates for construction document submissions and approvals, scanning hard-copy documents to an electronic format, providing quality control of received electronic and hard-copy documents ensuring documents are readable, typing documents and data entry using various software including Microsoft, in accordance with established DSA office guidelines, DGS Core Values, and DSA Employee Expectations in order to ensure the compliance with DSA's policies and procedures in conjunction with Title 24, California Building Code (CBC).

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
