Our pet food factory in Zanesville is favorably located along the banks of the Muskingum River in scenic east-central Ohio halfway between Columbus and Wheeling, West Virginia. This 100-year-old facility was acquired by Nestlé Purina in 1987 and has since evolved to incorporate our innovative portfolio of products, processes, and technical equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll complete preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to support machine reliability and process improvements across our processes. Install and program Variable Frequency Drives. Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain switch gears, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems. Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs. Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators. Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment. Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs. Utilize thermal imaging and ultrasonic analysis. Requirements High School diploma or GED. 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a two-year technical degree completed. Other Experience working with 480 industrial voltages preferred. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. Pay: $30.28 per hour Bonus Eligibility:Yes The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
