Assistant Soccer Coach

Responsibilities Recruitment and retention of athletes consistent with university, AAC, and NAIA guidelines. Coaching the team; including attendance at all practice sessions and team-related functions. Evaluating and recruiting potential student‑athletes, including on‑campus hosting and evaluations. Assisting athletes with details related to performance in games/competitions. Providing articulation, advocacy, and problem‑resolution for student‑athletes. Keeping accurate records of student‑athlete participation and general team data. Staying current concerning rule changes, training techniques, and game strategies in their respective sports. Adhering to university policies and procedures. Assuming additional department responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year institution. Clear understanding of and commitment to the NAIA philosophy and the role of athletics within the university’s mission. Appropriate coaching licenses and necessary certifications for the designated sport. Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop athletes. Effective communication skills with other coaches, players, parents, and organization members.
