As our next Assistant Parts Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service by leading our local team. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with us.What you'll do day-to-day (essential duties & responsibilities):Greet and keep customers informed on the status of special order, back-order parts.Receive, locate, bill, and fulfill orders and handle customer returns.Answer questions, provide price quotes, inform of companion part requirements and specials in-person and over the phone.Create sales opportunities in the parts department.Oversee parts warranty procedures.Assist with reviewing part costs and controlling retail pricing of parts with guidance from the SBU.Manage inventory levels to achieve target turns while minimizing stockouts and lost sales.Work with Parts Manager and Human Resources to assist in the selection, hiring, training, and development of employees.Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support businessWhat we're looking for (qualifications & skills):High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.Two years of work experience in a heavy-duty truck parts department preferred.Valid Driver's License required.Ability to work effectively with peers to implement business process changes.Proficient skills with employee development and supervision skills, and inventory management.Experienced with basic software programs.Mindset: A curious mindset with an entrepreneurial "pioneering spirit," strong integrity, and a passion for continuous professional development.Physical and mental demands:The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand and walk; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; simple grasp, firm grasp and fine manipulation; work near moving mechanical equipment; use a variety of air tools and basic hand tools; use safety glasses, gloves, and shoes; talk or hear.What's in it for you?
