Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift critical care position requiring at least 2 years of hospital and specialty experience.

Job Details

• Work in a Critical Care Unit (ICU/CCU) within a hospital setting,
• 36 beds in CCU and 30 beds in Burn Trauma ICU,
• Patient ratio of 2:1,
• Unit staffed with a supervisor on every shift and PCT support,
• Uses varied equipment specific to critical care,
• Documentation via Meditech, with experience preferred,
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• 13-week assignment length,
• Every other weekend required,
• Floating as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted,
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required,
• Minimum 2 years of specialty (ICU) experience required,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Meditech experience preferred,
• TNCC, CCRN, and TCRN certifications preferred,
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO candidates),

Additional Information

• Perform critical care procedures including central line insertions, arterial line insertions, thoracotomies, bedside trachs, and chest tube insertions,
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs,
• Clean, natural nails with no artificial enhancements,
• Neat, natural hair color and style; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer,
• Body art should be covered whenever possible,
• Visible piercings other than ear piercings are prohibited,
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
