RN‑Education Specialist Department/Unit: AMCH - Nursing Affiliation Partnership Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-4:30 pm with occasional off‑shift and weekend rotation to support educational needs of AMC. Responsibilities Participate in orientation/onboarding of new staff. Obtain and maintain certification to teach BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BTR. Participate in the ANCC CE Provider Unit at Albany Medical Center. Educate, support, coach, and role‑model professional nursing practice. Develop evidence‑based learning materials. Participate in new product roll‑out. Collaborate with educators and leaders across AMC to ensure successful transition of new staff. Support innovation, quality, safety and patient experience through participation in meetings, workgroups, and focus groups across AMC. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing – required. Graduate of a School of Nursing – strongly preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State – required. Matriculated into a Masters Degree in Nursing Program with evidence of completion within 2 years of hire – required. Masters degree in Nursing – strongly preferred. BLS certification – required. Instructor certification for BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP – preferred. Albany Med Health System is an equal opportunity employer.
