Position Overview
Full performance level class in the laundry occupation requiring considerable knowledge of washing and drying machine operations, stocking and mending laundry; under direction, provides clean, intact clothing and linen for residents and staff.

Summary of Job Duties
Receives soiled laundry; sorts, washes, dries, counts, irons/presses, fold and stocks laundry; marks new clothes; issues clean laundry; delivers, stocks laundry and supplies; keeps inventory count of pieces of laundry handled.


Picks up and Delivers laundry to the cottages.

Cleans laundry room and equipment; may determine when items are ready to be disposed of or used as rags; may prepare or recommend orders for new clothes and linen annually. (Performs Related Duties As Required)

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Ability to count and read warning signs.

Seasonal Employees: Benefits include Sick Leave accrued at 4.6 hours for every eighty 80 hours in active
pay status. Seasonal employees scheduled to work 40 hours during their period of employment will accrue vacation in the same manner as regular full-time employees and can use their vacation after completion of twenty-six (26) bi-weekly pay periods in active pay status. Part-time Seasonal employees (scheduled to work less than 40 hours) do not accrue vacation.

Intermittent and Temporary Employees: Long-Term Sick Leave accrual is based on hours worked.
