Stone/Granite Polisher

"NOTICE*: Our company's dress code and PPE policies require shaving facial hair as it poses a safety risk in certain work environments.

Pay: $18-19/hr (depending on experience)

Shifts: 6 AM to 2 PM

Polish materials/parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for additional finishing, using hand and power tools.

Apply pressure to buff, glaze, and polish, ensuring dimensions remain the same.

Check the quality of finished parts by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework.

Ensure proper use of equipment.

Teamwork: assist coworkers at other stations if needed.

Maintain a clean station.

Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.).

Ensure safety procedures are followed.

Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience: Marble, granite, and quartz fabrication experience.

Construction, industrial, and manufacturing experience.

Experience polishing materials.

Experience operating a forklift.

EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma/GED KNOWLEDGE

Required: Basic math knowledge (addition and subtraction)

Knowledge of basic maintenance measurements

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 Ibs

This job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
