Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Jul 6, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 2 Details 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit (6 North) in a hospital setting Primarily cardiac patients presenting with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and various cardiac arrhythmias Also serves medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and occasional stroke, as well as surgical patients Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required Floating to other units and hospitals is required EMR: Meditech (experience not required) 13-week contract Requirements Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted No hits (past or current) on nursing license allowed AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required Minimum 2 years of RN experience; candidates with 18 months may be considered At least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or Cardiac specialty required Current driver's license required for consideration Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration NURSYS license verification required for consideration Full SSN required for consideration Additional Information Scrub color requirement: solid navy Timekeeping system: Centricity No HealthStream modules required prior to start — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation Cardiac RNs will be required to complete an online pre-test after accepting an offer Local candidates are welcome to apply with no radius restrictions Work schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week available American Traveler Job ID #P-715030.
