Learning & Competency Training Intern

About the Role

As a Learning & Competency Training Operations Intern at SLB, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery, administration, and promotion of learning and competency programs

Working within the Learning and Competency Mgr, you will assist with training coordination, learner and instructor communications, learning systems administration, certification program support, and community engagement activities. You will work closely with learners, instructors, subject matter experts, and Learning professionals to help ensure training programs are delivered effectively and provide a positive learning experience.

You will lead a defined project with measurable deliverables while receiving regular coaching, feedback, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

What You Will Experience

• Exposure to global learning and competency programs and certification initiatives.
• Hands-on experience supporting training delivery, learner engagement, and program administration.
• Experience coordinating instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs.
• Exposure to learning management systems, digital learning platforms, and training technologies.
• Involvement in the administration and promotion of the Global Supply Recognition program (SEPC) program.
• Experience developing communications and engagement campaigns for learners, instructors, and learning communities.
• Collaboration with Learning teams, instructors, subject matter experts, HR, and business stakeholders.
• Ownership of a project focused on improving training operations, learner experience, or program effectiveness.
• Structured learning objectives, regular feedback, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Coordination

• Support the planning and coordination of instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs.
• Assist with training logistics, scheduling, learner enrollment, and session preparation.
• Monitor attendance, participation, and completion of training activities.
• Prepare training materials, participant guides, rosters, and facilitator resources.
• Support instructors and facilitators of training sessions.
• Coordinate learner communications, program invitations, reminders, pre-work assignments, and follow-up activities.
• Assist in the delivery of workshops, webinars, virtual classrooms, and learning events.
• Support training evaluations and the collection of learner feedback.
• Coordinate activities related to the Supply Excellence Professional Certification (SEPC) program, including enrollments, assessments, certifications, and recognition initiatives.

Learning Community Engagement & Communications

• Develop and distribute communications to learners, instructors, and stakeholders regarding training opportunities, certifications, enrollment deadlines, and upcoming learning events.
• Create engaging content for learning communities, Teams channels, newsletters, SharePoint sites, and other communication platforms.
• Support awareness campaigns that promote learning programs, certifications, credentials, and employee development opportunities.
• Assist with the development of learner success stories, credential announcements, recognition campaigns, and program updates.
• Collaborate with instructors and subject matter experts to improve learner-facing communication materials and resources.
• Support communication activities that encourage participation and engagement across the learning community.
• Assist with planning and promoting SEPC campaigns, certification announcements, and learning community events.

Learning Administration & Learner Support

• Maintain training records and learner data within learning management systems.
• Assist employees with training-related inquiries and learning platform navigation.
• Monitor course completions and support follow-up activities for assigned and mandatory training.
• Support certification and recertification processes, including learner tracking and documentation.
• Assist with digital credential issuance, learner recognition, and certification reporting.
• Generate and maintain reports on learner participation, completion rates, and certification progress.
• Ensure training records, learning materials, and program documentation remain accurate and up to date.

Learning Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Support data quality reviews and maintenance of learning catalogs and training records.
• Assist with setting up learning events and managing enrollments in learning platforms.
• Help identify opportunities to improve training processes, learner communications, and operational efficiency.
• Support testing and validation of new learning content and system enhancements.
• Document procedures, guides, and operational processes related to learning programs.
• Contribute ideas to improve learner experience and training effectiveness.

What We Are Looking For

Education & Skills

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Education, Learning Technologies, Data Analytics or Data Science
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities across different stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, CANVAS.
• Experience with learning management systems, content creation tools, or digital collaboration platforms is a plus.
• Interest in employee learning, training delivery, communications, and people development.
• Previous HR or Learning experience is not required.
