About the Position

Job Title: Case Manager RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 Year Minimum License: AK RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACM Certification Preferred Description: Case Manager RN position available. Must have AK RN license in hand for auto offer. Shift is 5x8 days with varying shift times. First time candidates are accepted. Certifications required include BLS and AK RN License. ACM Certification is preferred. Epic experience is a must. Acute care experience is also required. Weekend shifts are required, every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule. Clinicians may float within the scope to meet facility needs. This position is not open to local candidates; the candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Only one time-off request of 5 days or less is allowed during the 13-week assignment. No holiday time-off requests for auto offers. Guaranteed hours are 72 hours per 2 weeks; however, travelers can be called off for one 8-hour shift every 2 weeks. The facility is an acute hospital with a total of 407 staffed beds and follows Epic for charting. Patients across all age groups are cared for, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary team support includes various specialty services. The position requires participation in discharge planning and care coordination. Candidates are expected to have experience with medical necessity determination and prior authorization processes. Candidates must also be willing to work during major holidays as required. References required cover the last year during the compliance process prior to the start.
