Major Duties:Review, analyze, and consolidate IT program performance, risks, issues, metrics, and deliverables for executive-level reporting.Evaluate IT risks, threats, program health, and maturity, and develop mitigation strategies and recommendations.Develop and improve IT program management processes, policies, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to enhance delivery and workforce effectiveness.Evaluate the IT threat landscape, program risks, mitigation strategies, and the overall health and maturity of VA IT programs.Develop and maintain VA IT strategic plans, goals, objectives, and tasks while ensuring alignment with Department-wide strategies and Federal policies.Assess, develop, and revise IT policies, ensuring compliance with Federal regulations, information security requirements, and Government-wide standards.Interpret IT policies, standards, and guidelines, and identify business and technical requirements for the design, implementation, management, and support of IT systems and networks.This is a non-bargaining unit position. This position is primarily aligned to the following NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework work role: Cybersecurity Code 752: Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
