Job Title: Evening Bartender Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Bistro Supervisor / Food & Beverage Manager Location: Courtyard Marriott – Downtown Boone, NC Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Sunday & Monday off) Pay Rate: $10.00 – $15.00 per hour starting pay, plus gratuity (performance reviews with potential increases quarterly) About Us: We are an award-winning Courtyard Marriott property located in the heart of Boone, North Carolina , offering a dynamic, team-focused work environment with flexible scheduling and strong opportunities for advancement. We also provide full-service catering for meetings and events, including open bar service. Position Summary: As an Evening Bartender , you’ll be an integral part of our Food & Beverage team, delivering excellent service at The Bistro and during catered events in our meeting spaces. You’ll craft beverages, serve food, and maintain the bar area while upholding Marriott’s high standards for guest service and safety. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the bar and catered events Make Starbucks coffee and specialty drinks as required Prepare and deliver food orders accurately and promptly Follow Marriott’s Steps of Service and comply with all local health and safety regulations Manage transactions using the POS system; handle cash and credit payments responsibly Stock bar supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and Bistro area Support catering events by providing bar and beverage service as needed Requirements: Previous bartending experience is required Must have a positive attitude and strong commitment to excellent customer service Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday evenings, 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM Knowledge of drink recipes, responsible alcohol service, and local liquor laws Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) Perks & Benefits: Competitive pay starting at $10–$15 per hour plus gratuity , with quarterly performance reviews and potential raises Flexible scheduling with Sunday and Monday nights off Marriott associate discounts on hotel stays worldwide 401(k) , health insurance, and paid vacation available after one year for eligible employees Overtime and holiday pay at time-and-a-half Opportunities for cross-training and promotion within the hotel Join Our Team: If you are an experienced bartender with a passion for hospitality and a desire to grow with a top-rated Marriott property, we encourage you to apply.
