Registered Nurse - CV OR - CV Cardiovascular
\nShift: 5 Days - 8 Hours
\nNOW OFFERING A $15K SIGN-ON BONUS
\nCHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline overlooking Corpus Christi Bay is the largest and foremost acute care medical facility in the region, with a full range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services in cardiac, cancer, and stroke care. It is the leading emergency facility in the area with a Level II Trauma Center in the Coastal Bend, staffed with physicians and nurses specially trained in emergency services.

- The Pavilion and North Tower house a state-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and surgical suites \n
- A teaching facility in affiliation with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine \n
- Accredited Chest Pain Center \n
- Accredited Joint Commission Stroke Team \n
Summary:
\nThe competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
\n Responsibilities:

- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. \n
- Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. \n
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice. \n
- Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. \n
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. \n
- Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources. \n

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred \n
Experience
\n- \n
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred \n
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

- BLS required \n
- RN License in state of employment or compact \n
