Title
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Schedule
Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat/Sun)

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Trauma Level I experience required
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Travel experience required
- Core clinical skills in cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, blood product administration, and wound care
- Epic charting system experience required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in a progressive care setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer medications and blood products as prescribed.
- Manage intravenous therapy and provide wound care, including the use of Wound VAC.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of chest tubes and central/PICC/peripheral lines when applicable.

Compliance / Notes
- Travelers may need both state licenses or a nursing compact license at the time of submission.
- Documentation deadlines: Documents due 2 Fridays before the start date.
- Must complete 10-15 hours of pre-start training/modules; modules due by the Monday one week prior to start.
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- Local candidate rule: Home address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
