Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Guest Services Representative. This role is to provide information to all patients, visitors, guests and caregivers based on their needs. To serve as a company ambassador providing exceptional experience with a personal touch and offering a welcoming environment to all who enter our campus.
Job Description
- Serve as a Company ambassador by providing customer service excellence with a personal touch at every encounter.
- Welcomes the patient/visitor with love and excellence and provides accurate, helpful information.
- Answers all inquiries ( in person and via telephone) in a timely manner.
- Provide patient location information to all customers.
- Provides directions to locations/facilities for internal and external guests.
- Provide department information to internal and external guest.
- Provides daily visitor badging, if required, for the safety of our patients and staff.
- Provides daily shuttle badging for all non-caregivers s, if required.
- Serves as mediator between caregivers and guests.
- Must make instantaneous decision based on their risk assessment of current situations.
- Receives, processes and documents lost or found property utilizing the Report to Learn (R2L) system.
- Answers inquiries in person and via telephone about lost and found property.
- Conducts Lost & Found reviews.
- Ensure the Information Desk Directories are maintained and are updated as needed.
- Directs the volunteers’ daily assignments and answers any questions or inquiries they may have during their volunteer shift.
- Ensures desk has adequate supplies of support materials (maps, directory tear-sheet, badges, labels, paper, pens, etc.)
- Keeps team members updated on current issues/concerns before leaving their shift.
- Partners with Company caregivers such as patient guides, constables, patient escort, patient relations, nurse managers, volunteer coordinators/manager to provide exceptional experience.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established safety rules and practices. Reports to manager, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Skills Required
- Experience providing hospitality or customer service support, preferably in a front desk or hotel environment.
- Ability to assist with the new badging system (PassagePoint) and provide visitor badges to individuals entering the main campus.
- Two years of customer service experience, front desk/hotel desk preferred.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to use computer and telephone to retrieve information.
- Ability to use computer programs such as: Microsoft programs, Soarian, Surgi-Net, R2L, Powerchart.
- Ability to use Easy Lobby program and Dymo printer to distribute visitor badges.
- Ability to learn hospital locations and ability to read hospital map.
- Ability to learn diagnostics tests and procedures performed at Company.
- Ability to learn Company and departmental policies, procedures, and directives.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and material.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of our guests and then meet or exceed those needs with compassion and generosity to build enduring relationships.
- Physical Demands: Need for good hearing, eyesight, and ability to speak clearly. Frequent sitting with intermittent walking or standing.
- Working Conditions: Hospital lobby environment. Occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids, and danger of infection.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Additional Requirements
- Varying Shift: could be any of the three shifts, seven days a week; Weekend required
- Essential personnel, 24/7 department. Work schedules may be changed with short notice to ensure essential services are maintained
- Dress Code: Business casual, will be purchasing Uniforms once hired
Pay Rate
- $19.00 per hour
