Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response)

Riverside, CA | Acute Care – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 6-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an active Labor & Delivery unit with 11 labor beds, OB evaluation, OB PACU, and OR coverage
• Manage active labor, titrate medications, and perform cervical exams and NSTs
• Operate and interpret AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) using GE fetal monitoring equipment
• Document patient care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Float to Postpartum/Couplet Care as needed, providing couplet care for mother and newborn
• Participate in weekend coverage as needed to meet unit staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required — must be included in submission packet
• No special scheduling requests or time-off requests will be accommodated during this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• More than 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience with transition nursing and newborn delivery (baby catching)
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous patients
• Familiarity with McRoberts maneuver and other obstetric emergency techniques
