Technical Associate (Onsite)

Becton Dickinson seeks a Technical Associate to operate and maintain production equipment at a manufacturing facility in Sumter, South Carolina. The role involves optimizing equipment performance, ensuring quality standards, and supporting daily manufacturing operations on an onsite basis.
Responsibilities
- Operate, optimize, and maintain assigned production equipment
- Monitor equipment performance, logs, and downtime; perform preventative maintenance
- Meet production standards while maintaining product quality and waste levels
- Perform quality control checks and address in-process issues
- Maintain safe, orderly production environment and support upstream/downstream operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Maintenance repair and mechanical experience required; 2 years preferred
- 6-12 months manufacturing experience desired
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and mechanical components
- Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components desired
- Ability to work autonomously and any shift
- Clear, legible handwriting
