Registered Pharmacist

Responsibilities Manage the Pharmacy Department and oversee dispensing functions for inpatient and outpatient medications, and other Pharmacy‑sponsored programs. Manage personnel: assign responsibilities to pharmacy technicians, interns, and other Pharmacy staff. Provide pharmacy in‑services, journals, and information regarding seminars and meetings; ensure ongoing continuing education and competence evaluation. Disseminate drug information to health‑care professionals and patients. Consult with department directors, hospital administration, and other hospital personnel; initiate corrective actions and supervise interactions between Pharmacy personnel, hospital staff, and the public. Initiate and evaluate Pharmacy programs; participate on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee; help maintain and control the hospital formulary system. Initiate and maintain inventory control procedures; supervise inventory levels; assign personnel for purchase orders, inventory monitoring, and controlled‑substance records. Perform any other duties assigned by the hospital administrator. Qualifications Registered with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (required). Licensed in the state of Alabama (required).
