This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, Professional Services leadership, Sales, and Product stakeholders by combining deep MGA industry knowledge with strong consulting, implementation, and solution design capabilities.\n The Principal Consultant leads complex engagements, drives solution strategy, supports pre-sales and scoping activities, and helps ensure successful customer outcomes. This role is expected to influence delivery best practices, mentor professional services teams, and contribute to the growth and scalability of the Professional Services organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor and thought leader and delivers high-impact customer outcomes. The role operates with significant autonomy.Client Consulting & Delivery Leadership\n· Lead complex MGA-focused consulting engagements from discovery through implementation and optimization.\n· Serve as a strategic advisor to customers on operational workflows, underwriting processes, distribution models, policy administration, bordereaux reporting, carrier relationships, and delegated authority operations.\n· Facilitate executive-level and operational stakeholder discussions to align business objectives with solution capabilities.\n· Translate business requirements into scalable solution recommendations and implementation strategies.\n· Identify risks, dependencies, and operational gaps and provide actionable mitigation strategies.\n· Drive adoption of best practices across MGA operational models and technology usage. Professional Services Leadership\n· Support Professional Services delivery teams with solution guidance, escalation management, and subject matter expertise.\n· Contribute to implementation methodologies, reusable assets, training materials, playbooks, and delivery standards.\n· Mentor consultants and project teams on MGA workflows, business processes, and customer engagement strategies.\n· Partner with Delivery Leadership to improve project estimation accuracy, delivery quality, and customer satisfaction.\n· Assist with complex issue resolution and executive communications during critical customer engagements. Pre-Sales & Solutioning Support\n· Partner with Sales, Solution Consultants, and Customer Success teams during the sales cycle.\n· Participate in discovery sessions, solution workshops, and executive presentations with prospective customers.\n· Provide industry expertise and consultative guidance to shape solution positioning and customer strategy.\n· Support Statement of Work (SOW) development, implementation scoping, staffing recommendations, and effort estimation.\n· Evaluate customer operational maturity, implementation readiness, and integration complexity.\n· Assist with RFP/RFI responses and solution architecture discussions. Industry Expertise & Strategic Contribution\n· Be a subject matter expert with MGA Systems, its methodology, and P&C business operations\n· Maintain deep expertise in MGA business operations, market trends, compliance considerations, and emerging technologies.\n· Act as a thought leader internally and externally on MGA transformation initiatives and best practices.\n· Collaborate with Product Management to provide customer and market feedback that influences roadmap priorities.\n· Support development of industry-specific accelerators, templates, and consulting offerings.\n Core Requirements and Responsibilities:\n· Be a subject matter expert with MGA Systems, its methodology, and P&C business operations\n· Be part of project teams implementing MGA Systems and delivering Professional Services\n· Manage multiple consulting engagements concurrently with large agencies\n· Conduct presentations and educational sessions\n· Deliver in-person consultative sessions with customers\n· Analyze business operations and methodology to develop best practices\n· Recommend solutions for customer pain points, gaps, needs, goals\n· Conduct user acceptance testing with customer\n· Perform operational assessment post-implementation to drive product adoption, improve business operations, refine best practices, identify new consultative opportunities\n· Other duties as assigned\n \n Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n· Experience with the following:\n· Supporting enterprise software implementations within the P&C insurance industry\n· Working with policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, distribution management, and agency management platforms\n· Supporting pre-sales activities, including discovery, solution scoping, effort estimation, and SOW development\n· Mentoring consulting teams and leading cross-functional initiatives\n· Deep understanding of MGA operations, including underwriting workflows, delegated authority models, carrier relationships, distribution channels, and policy lifecycle management\n· Strong knowledge of P&C insurance business practices, independent insurance agency operations, and insurance accounting principles\n· Broad knowledge of business applications, content management solutions, and SaaS-based insurance technology ecosystems\n· Proven ability to lead customer-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and executive stakeholder engagements\n· Strong consulting, client relationship management, and stakeholder influence skills across all organizational levels\n· Demonstrated ability to navigate crucial conversations, manage conflict resolution, and drive alignment among cross-functional teams\n· Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise implementation frameworks\n· Knowledge of integrations, API-based architectures, and data migration strategies\n· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills\n· Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously\n· Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in complex environments\n· Ability to adapt quickly to change while developing creative and innovative solutions to customer and business challenges\n Qualifications:\n· 8+ years of experience in insurance technology consulting, professional services, or operational leadership roles\n· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.\n· Industry certifications or insurance designations are a plus.\n· Experience with the following:\n· Supporting enterprise software implementations within the P&C insurance industry\n·
