PA is seeking a Scheduler to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for many patients, the Scheduler plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, coordinating appointments, and ensuring accurate patient information is maintained. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming telephone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments according to provider schedules and practice guidelines Return patient calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately Verify insurance eligibility using approved verification systems Process patient requests received through the patient portal, website, and other communication channels Route new patient appointment requests to the appropriate provider through the electronic health record (EHR) Forward prescription refill requests to the appropriate clinical staff through the EHR Coordinate patient appointments affected by provider schedule changes Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Collaborate with providers, nurses, and support staff to promote a patient-centered care experience Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and customer service initiatives Follow Raleigh Medical Group policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years of medical scheduling experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience using Athena EHR Knowledge of medical terminology Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Qualifications Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Previous medical scheduling experience Why Join Raleigh Medical Group?
