Dog Walker

Dog Walker Position The Monster Minders has been walking dogs in Philadelphia since 2005. Over the last 20 years, we've completed nearly one million walks and built a reputation for exceptional care, reliability, and communication. We're a family-owned business that believes dog walking is a real profession. Our employees are valued team members, not gig workers bouncing between app-based jobs. The Position We're looking for a Dog Walker to join our crew in Society Hill and Old City. This is a weekday position, Monday through Friday, typically between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Most days include 8 to 12 walks with established clients who rely on us to provide safe, dependable care for their dogs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, and building long-term relationships with both dogs and their people. What You'll Do Complete dog walks Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM Safely handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities Travel between clients' homes throughout the workday Write thoughtful visit updates and communicate professionally with clients Work comfortably in all types of Philadelphia weather, including heat, rain, and snow Participate in paid training and occasional paid staff meetings What We're Looking For Previous dog handling, animal care, or dog walking experience Strong written communication skills Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule Ability to comfortably walk for 5 to 6 hours per day Reliable transportation (bike, scooter, motorcycle, or car) Availability to commit to the position for at least one year Pay & Benefits Employee position (W-2), not independent contractor work Paid Time Off (PTO) Competitive pay plus tips Direct deposit Workers' compensation coverage Consistent weekday schedule with established clients Paid training and ongoing support Optional social events including happy hours, book club gatherings, bonfires, and pizza nights Why People Stay Our clients value consistency. Our employees know what their schedules look like. There is no fighting for gigs, scrambling for last-minute work, or wondering whether your income will disappear because an app changed its algorithm. Most of our employees stay for years, not months. That's good for our clients, good for our dogs, and good for the people who work here. Just great dogs, great clients, and meaningful work. There is a better way to walk dogs.
