Basic Description:  We are a growing construction consulting firm specializing in representing owners on their projects. We are seeking a project engineer / project manager with 3-5 years of relevant experience to work as an owner's representative on projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $100,000,000.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the project executive in all aspects of construction project management
• Monitor the schedules of both the project architect and contractor
• Review submittals on behalf of the owner
• Work with the architect and contractor to resolve design and construction problems
• Reviewing plans & specifications, assisting with billing, tracking production, creating work plans, identifying hazards, working with & supporting field personnel to ensure projects completion
• Perform quality control inspections

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related major
• Three years experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry
• Experience working on federal government projects, especially Department of Navy projects is a plus
• Experience on athletic facilities is a plus
• Must have a good knowledge about construction divisions, specifications and drawings
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and resolve issues/problems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project
• Bluebeam Construction related education is a plus
• Must have the ability to pass background checks for Government Facility Access
