Job Description
TITLE
Sonographer - Diagnostic Imaging

SCHEDULE
Variable shift with 40-hour workweek and call when appropriate.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
- One contract or more experience
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience as a sonographer
- Licensure: ARDMS (AB)(OB)(RVT)
- Active BLS certification - must be AHA Certified
- Proficient in specific imaging procedures related to abdomen, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular studies.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients to obtain diagnostic information.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and document findings.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in training and support for staff members and students in ultrasound techniques.
- Assist in the development and implementation of protocols for new procedures.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Dress code: personal scrubs, healthcare professional attire.
