Position Details

• Location: Redford area, MI
• Schedule: Full-Time
• School Year: 2026–2027 (dates TBD)
• Setting: Onsite only
• Early Childhood Special Education Classroom
• High School Special Education Classroom

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress toward goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Implement academic and behavioral interventions to support student success
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification or willingness to obtain and maintain annually
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills
