Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established 250-bed hospital in Northern California is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead their pharmacy services. This interim leadership role requires a strong and proven pharmacy professional ready to step into a fast-paced environment and guide the pharmacy team through a critical period.
Location: Seaside, CA
Job Type: Contract
Assignment Duration: 3 to 6 months
Start: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Lead, motivate, and manage pharmacy staff to achieve high performance and exceptional patient care
- Coordinate with hospital departments to optimize pharmaceutical services and workflow
- Manage inventory, budgets, and procurement to maintain efficient pharmacy function
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and policies to enhance pharmacy operations
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Extensive leadership experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacy Operations Manager
- Proven ability to manage pharmacy services in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance, and best practices
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a dynamic clinical environment
