Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physical therapists to implement tailored treatment plans for patients in an outpatient brain injury setting
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed to achieve goals
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Maine or compact eligibility
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Previous outpatient or brain injury experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic modalities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual patient needs
• Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
