Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced maternity unit. The role involves managing both labor and postpartum care, including nursery duties, in a level 2 nursery environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients to ensure safe progression and comfort.
• Provide comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
• Maintain competency in nursery care and manage neonate needs in a Level II Nursery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate deliveries, including C-sections.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform necessary procedures with precision.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in labor, postpartum, and nursery care.
• Possess active and valid BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in obstetric emergencies and neonatal care.
• Adapt comfortably to a fast-paced, high-volume environment managing 50-65 deliveries per month.
• Be flexible to work 7a-7p shifts, including every other weekend and call coverage.
• Have experience working in an LDRP setting with Level II Nursery and C-section procedures.
