In this key role, you will fabricate, fit, and weld high-strength metal components to exact structural specifications. If you take pride in top-tier craftsmanship, excel at reading blueprints, and are looking for a long-term career with a fantastic local employer, apply today!Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality structural welds on steel components in accordance with project specifications and code standards.Read, interpret, and work directly from detailed engineering blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.Inspect raw materials and finished welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with AWS quality standards.Setup, calibrate, and safely operate welding equipment (such as MIG, TIG, or Stick), torches, and hand tools.Prepare parts for assembly by cutting, grinding, measuring, and positioning materials accurately.Maintain a clean, organized work area while strictly adhering to shop safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.Collaborate with production supervisors and assembly team members to keep projects running efficiently.Qualifications & Special Requirements:AWS D1.1 Certification (Structural Welding Code – Steel) preferred or equivalent certified welding background.Previous hands-on experience in structural welding and heavy metal fabrication.Strong capability to read and accurately interpret complex blueprints and welding schematics.Proficiency with standard shop tools, measuring instruments, and metal preparation equipment.Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and high standards for weld quality.Strong commitment to workplace safety, punctual attendance, and teamwork.Why Work with PrideStaff?At PrideStaff, we deliver the support, respect, and exceptional opportunities you deserve.
