Vice President of Supportive Housing Full Time Senior Management New York, NY, US 13 days ago Requisition ID: 1764 Salary Range: $110,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually Job Title: Vice President, Supportive Housing Reports to: Chief Program Officer Status: Full-time Classification: Exempt Job Location: Multi-Site (Manhattan) Work Schedule: Mon – Fri; 9 am to 5 pm; Hours may vary and include on-call responsibilities. Lantern staff may be asked to change work schedule and hours depending on the operational needs of the site and the agency. Objective Lantern Community Services is seeking a Vice President to oversee a portfolio of Supportive Housing sites. Responsibilities include supervision of Program Directors and the overall support of site staff to ensure best practices in social service delivery to tenants, while ensuring contract compliance with funders. The Vice President supports each site in collaboration with property management to ensure proper maintenance, and partners with the leasing and compliance teams on property administration efforts. The Vice President utilizes clinical and management experience to assist with the development and implementation of staff training activities, reports to the Chief Program Officer, and serves as an active member of the Senior Management Team and Lantern's trusted leadership team. Program Management Manage and oversee assigned supportive housing programs, including active participation in planning, implementation, and evaluation. Lead the development, implementation, and management of all program, contract, and organizational dashboards and deliverables. Through supervision, coaching, and development, ensure that Program Directors execute a client-centered, harm reduction approach in site leadership. Promote and champion creative programming and engagement strategies across assigned sites. Manage the reporting of serious incidents to the Executive Team and Incident Review Committee (IRC), as necessary. Contract Management Ensure programs deliver services in compliance with audit standards, approved scopes of work, and within approved budgets. Maintain contract budgets in collaboration with Program Directors; work closely with the fiscal team to review and adjust budgets monthly and as needed. Provide active management of building budgets in conjunction with Program Directors to ensure spending is on track. Oversee program monitoring, auditing, and compliance review of contract concerns or violations. Develop and implement review tools and reporting mechanisms to ensure program compliance. Assist with internal system-wide periodic compliance reviews in response to internal or external requests. Work with the Executive Team to exercise proper oversight of relevant contracts, including expiration dates, outcomes, expectations, and funder correspondence. Participate in periodic, systematic reviews of program manuals and updates in alignment with the organization's changing needs and evaluative or accrediting body standards. Policies and Procedures Management Serve as a critical Senior Team member to ensure all policies and procedures capture a complete view of activities and processes within and across the organization. Monitor programmatic changes and suggest updates to policies and procedures to reflect operational changes. Educate program staff on the format and content required for effective policy and procedure development. Ensure staff meet all regulatory requirements and comply with best practices, professional standards, and internal policies and procedures. Staff Training and Development Work closely with Executive Staff to coordinate staff development and training opportunities at sites, including overseeing annual scheduling and maintaining an annual training budget. Serve as a member of the Training Committee; assist in the analysis of training needs and collaborate to develop new or improve existing training programs. Ensure staff compliance with all Lantern human resources policies, completion of orientation for new hires, and assist Program Directors with performance management in conjunction with Senior Counsel and the Human Resources department. Compliance and Quality Assurance Working closely with the Compliance and Quality Assurance teams, support and supervise assigned sites in maintaining compliance with funder and program requirements. Monitor and ensure programs meet goals, benchmarks, and staffing patterns. Utilize data to maintain and improve program quality, while developing and empowering site-based leadership to do the same. Required Education and Experience LMSW/LCSW from an accredited school is required; SIFI is preferred, and/or willingness to pursue SIFI. Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible supportive housing experience in NYC, with at least 5+ years in a Program Director capacity in a supportive housing setting – managing government-agency contracts with DOHMH, OMH, HASA, HRA, etc. Demonstrated experience in program supervision, clinical oversight, outcome measurement, and fiscal management. Demonstrated expertise and success in developing and monitoring programmatic work and creating metrics to measure outcomes. Experience managing relationships with property management partners. Excellent writing and people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Lantern Community Services. Flexible and able to multitask – can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems. Experience working with evidence-based models, specifically Motivational Interviewing, preferred. Must adhere to person-centered, harm reduction models. Preferred Experience Experience working with families, young adults aging out of foster care, as well as single adults, is highly desired. Experience working as part of, or managing, a multi-disciplinary team (including primary health and psychiatric providers) is highly desired. Experience as a Case Manager in supportive housing, intensive case management, etc., prior to obtaining supervisory roles. Experience working with those with chronic health and mental health concerns and substance use, as well as those who have experienced chronic homelessness, is preferred. Work Environment This position operates in both office and field settings. The role requires frequent travel to supportive housing sites and other locations throughout New York City as needed. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb stairs, and/or kneel.
