Who We're Looking For:

We are currently looking to hire either full-time or part-time Lead Veterinary Assistants to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Compensation and Benefits

• The hourly pay range for this position starts at $26.00 - $32.00, this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, and location.
• $250.00 sign-on bonus!
• Continuing Education (CE) support
• Annual uniform allowance
• Professional license reimbursement

Who You Are:

• 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary assistant or receptionist
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
• Perform basic exam procedures
• Skilled in venipuncture (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
• Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
• Comfortable with monitoring general anesthesia and surgical assistance preferred
• Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); IDEXX in-house laboratory
• Excellent client communication/education
• Adaptable to working well with current doctors and team members
