Nature and Scope The Physical Therapist is a qualified person who directs, supervises, evaluates, and provides Physical Therapy services to patients in the acute, swing, skilled nursing and outpatient settings as prescribed and ordered by the attending physician. Location Quincy, CA Compensation Compensation for Benefited, Full-Time Pay Scale Base Rate: $69.94–$99.72 per hour (or $145,475.20–$207,412.85 annually) Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience. Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay Job Status / Shift Information Full-Time May work across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing departments Qualifications Education Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Must hold current California Physical Therapy License. Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification, approved by the AHA. Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE). Compliant with state regulatory requirements. Experience 1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Compassionate and attentive to detail. Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices. Ability to solve problems independently or know when to rely on others. Excellent analytical and logical thinking. Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests. Treats injuries, manage chronic conditions, prevent future problems, improve physical function and educate patients to maximize and/or maintain their maximum level of independence. Records and reports to the physician the patient’s reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition as required/needed. Educates patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) and other necessary therapeutic equipment/devices. Attends rehabilitation center staff meetings and in-service presentations.
