Description

Job Title: Inspector/Packer I - Plastics Manufacturing
Location: Hanover Park, IL

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Inspector/Packer I to join our plastics manufacturing team. You'll manually inspect completed plastic parts, pack them for shipping, operate machinery as needed, and help keep our workplace safe and organized.


Key Responsibilities

• In-Process Inspection: Regularly examine plastic parts for any visual defects, such as discoloration, burns, contamination, and more.
• Recordkeeping: Accurately document information about products and job performance as required by management.
• Packing: Prepare, weigh, label, and transfer products from molding presses to shipping containers. Maintain accurate SAP records and properly stack products for shipment.
• Work Area Maintenance: Ensure production and packing areas stay clean and free of stray parts, dust, grease, or spills.
• Sorting/Reworking: Identify, sort, or rework non-conforming products, keeping precise records and labels for traceability.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with all departments to foster positive working relationships.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety and environmental guidelines, using proper safety equipment and complete assigned training.
• Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Average or better math skills
• Good color perception and manual dexterity
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. safely
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written English communication
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers at all levels
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and email preferred

Additional Information:

• Pay: $19.00
• Hours: 6:45AM-7:00PM (Rotating shifts)
