Pediatric Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty - Hawaii

Position Part‑time Clinical Nursing Faculty to teach the BSN Nursing program at Chamberlain College of Nursing, Oahu, Hawaii. The faculty member will mentor students in an inpatient clinical setting, bridging classroom learning with real‑world patient care. Schedule and Hours Clinical instructors are scheduled for 3–4 consecutive 12‑hour shifts during 1–2 week sessions. Key Responsibilities Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service. Plan clinical experiences, provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups. Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives. Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures and expectations with the assistance of agency/clinical personnel. Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work in a timely manner. Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College. May teach didactic course content under supervision of a course coordinator. Work with college administration, staff and other faculty to improve overall college operation and student satisfaction rates. Participate in the implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental and campus policies. Serve as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students in areas of customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, dress, attendance and general professionalism. Utilize relationship skills in situations requiring group problem solving, consensus building and win‑win negotiation. Comply with all applicable regulatory rules and standards. Comply with all policies and standards. Facilitate pediatric nursing sessions focusing on family‑centered care for children from infancy through adolescence. Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. Unencumbered professional nursing license in Hawaii. At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse. Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning. Eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care. Operates with a sense of responsibility and purpose with a desire to enrich colleagues, students and the broader community. No teaching experience required; nurses with solid clinical experience and a completed MSN are encouraged to apply. License Requirement An unencumbered professional nursing license in Hawaii is required, and an Illinois nursing license is required before accepting any clinical contract for a given session.
