HVAC/ Hybrid Tech. - Mobile

About the Role As a CBRE Hybrid HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems, including boilers and chillers, and general building maintenance at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing, ongoing scheduled maintenance, and any reactive repairs. This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and support for HVAC equipment, boiler and chiller systems, and general building maintenance. It is a hybrid role with occasional overnight stays at remote branches. Hours: Monday‑Friday, approximately 8‑5. Occasional after‑hours phone calls with no on‑site requirement. What You'll Do Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment. Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation, compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards. Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine the best course of action for equipment modifications. Use existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. Follow detailed procedure and processes under close supervision and guidance to deliver consistent outcomes. What You'll Need High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2+ years of job‑related experience; alternatively a combination of experience and education may be considered. Valid driver’s license. Universal 608 certification. Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards. Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
