Job DescriptionStevedore D – Waggaman, LAThis is a full-time, hourly level position.Position Summary:ADM is seeking a laborer to work as a Stevedore D on a mid-stream stevedoring rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Waggaman, LA.Job Responsibilities:Learn basics of stevedoring activities, how to safely perform daily tasks and completion of “Stevedore D Training”Assists with loading and unloading cargo on barges and vesselsGeneral housekeeping and upkeep of the rig, including cleaning and paintingInsure operational readiness of cranes, barges and mobile equipmentLearn basics of winch operation, rope handling, cover-stacking and drafting of bargesAssist with inspection, care of rig equipment, greasing and preparation of work Assisting mechanics, welders or any other personnel as directed for the completion of tasks in stevedoring operationsComplete required electronic reports and formsReport all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timelyAdditional duties and responsibilities as required or requested by managementJob Requirements:Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of the shift leads and managersReading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documentsAbility to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the rig or vesselsAbility to work well independently as well as part of a teamWorking knowledge in winch operations, securing of barges and proper riggingMust be able to work in all types of climatesPromote the ADM Way and core ValuesMust have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and proceduresAbility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays Current Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card required. REF:112551BRBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
