Cardiac OR - Operating Room | Registered Nurse Shift Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• 3x12 shift structure

Position Overview

• The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a wide variety of patients
• Case types include CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure cases (VADs, ECMO, Artificial Heart, and Heart Transplants)
• Staff utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients of all ages

Clinical Responsibilities

• Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases
• Cases may include CABGs, structural heart cases (Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (Impella)
• Transplant and TAVI/TAVR experience preferred but not required

Job Requirements

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Minimum two (2) years of experience required
• Operating room experience in a Level 1 Trauma center preferred
• Able to circulate and scrub
• Telemetry preferred as long as the healthcare provider has ACLS

Required Certifications

• BLS - American Heart Association ONLY
• ACLS - American Heart Association ONLY
