Job Details:

Position: Mammography Technician 

Specialty: 798F Breast Care Imaging – Mammo Tech
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks 

Start Date: July 27, 2026 

Radius: No local candidates within 50 miles

Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist/Technician performs diagnostic and screening breast imaging procedures while providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. The technologist will support outpatient breast imaging services, including mammograms, breast ultrasound, bone density exams, and breast biopsy procedures.

 

Requirements:
✅ Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience required
✅ ARRT Certification Required
✅ AHA BLS Certification Required
✅ Strong breast imaging experience preferred

Required Skills & Experience:

✅Mammography procedures

✅Breast ultrasound support

✅Bone density imaging (DEXA)

✅Breast biopsy procedures

✅Outpatient imaging services

✅Patient positioning and breast imaging techniques

✅Quality imaging practices and radiation safety standards

EMR/System:

✅Cerner

Responsibilities:

✅Perform mammography examinations according to established protocols and safety standards.

✅Assist with breast imaging procedures, including ultrasound and biopsy support.

✅Ensure accurate patient positioning and high-quality diagnostic images.

✅Maintain compliance with radiation safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.

✅Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.

✅Collaborate with radiologists and imaging team members to support accurate diagnosis.

✅Document procedures accurately within the Cerner system.
