Your responsibilities will include:Install, repair, modify, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems, controls, components, and wiring.Diagnose electrical issues and complete scheduled and emergency repairs, installations, and inspections.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, equipment specifications, and technical manuals.Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, motors, and other industrial electrical equipment.Assist with equipment moves, installations, modifications, and facility improvements.Monitor electrical parts and motor inventory and communicate purchasing needs to management.Support safe, efficient equipment operation and continuous improvement throughout the facility.What You'll BringHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with a trade school certificate.Journeyman electrician status or at least five years of electrical training or work experience.Experience with Allen-Bradley systems, VFDs, and PLC hardware and software.Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits, 4–20 mA signals, systems up to 480 VAC, and 440 MCCs.Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, manuals, specifications, and parts lists.Ability to write code and demonstrate working knowledge of RSLogix.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safe work practices.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.Why Join Silgan?Silgan is America's largest metal food packaging producer, supplying essential packaging products while working to reduce our environmental impact.
