Position Overview

Application Engineer (Entry Level) will support our sales team and drive client relations to promote and sell our advanced conductor product. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working in both technical and business development roles

Essential Functions

Sales & Business Development Support:

Assist engineers and the sales team, providing technical insight to effectively present and sell our advanced conductor.

Technical Consultation:

Support client inquiries, providing basic technical assistance and explaining how our product can be integrated into high-voltage transmission lines.

Technical Presentations:

Assist in preparing and delivering presentations or product demonstrations to clients, helping to explain the benefits and features of our products in an understandable way.

Travel:

Assist with client visits and industry events as required, gaining hands-on experience in business development and client interaction.

Independent & Team Collaboration:

Work independently on assigned tasks while also collaborating with the sales and engineering teams to meet overall company goals.

Other Skills/Abilities

Technical Knowledge: Familiar with Transmission and Distribution T&D industry. Familiar with basic power engineering concepts: AC, DC power transmission, power factor, phase angle, voltage transmission efficiency, sag tension analysis and theoretical understanding of material’s stress strain relationship. Thermal rating and material science understanding of heat capacity, current heating and thermal exchange forms: solar radiation heating, convection heat loss etc.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Engineers should have strong analytical skills to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions. They should be able to break down problems into smaller components, conduct research, gather data, and apply critical thinking to identify the root causes and develop innovative approaches to problem-solving.

Attention to Detail: Engineers must pay close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in their work. They should be meticulous in following engineering standards, specifications, and documentation requirements.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for engineers to collaborate with team members, understand project requirements, and present their ideas or findings. They should be able to convey technical and design information clearly, both verbally and in writing. This position requires proficiency in the ability to speak and read English.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Engineers often work as part of multidisciplinary teams. They should be able to collaborate effectively, share knowledge, and contribute to team goals. Being a good team player and demonstrating interpersonal skills is important in achieving project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

• Internship or prior experience in energy, engineering consulting, or utilities industry.
• Exposure to or interest in advanced materials such as carbon fiber or products used in electrical transmission systems.

• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, ambitious, and willing to work independently to achieve business goals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple tasks.
• A passion for engineering, business development, and a desire to grow in a sales or business development role.

• Basic knowledge of business development or sales in a technical field.

Training and Experience 

• A recent graduate with a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
• Understanding of high-voltage transmission systems or an eagerness to learn about this area.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in learning more about advanced engineering products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PLS-CADD software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple tasks.
• A passion for engineering, business development, and a desire to grow in a sales or business development role.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events as needed.

Work Environment

Manufacturing warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, noise and varying temperatures. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
