ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain software using Java, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement new features. Evaluate enhancement requests and help identify technical solutions. Contribute to automated testing and overall software quality. Maintain technical documentation and coding standards. Learn and apply modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices. Participate in troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous product improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree, coding bootcamp completion, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming using Java. Familiarity with Java frameworks such as: Spring Framework Hibernate / JPA. Awareness of servlet containers such as Jetty. Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. Working knowledge of Git version control. Experience using IntelliJ IDEA. Familiarity with SQL databases, including: Writing SQL queries JDBC connectivity ORM-based data access. Understanding of object-oriented, component-oriented, and service-oriented design principles. Exposure to GWT / SmartGWT is a plus. Professional Competencies An effective communicator who can collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
